A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your device. “Local storage” is a similar technique built into your browser. Both let a site remember small pieces of information between page visits — for example whether you are logged in or which language you chose.

We keep things minimal and honest. We place only strictly necessary and functional items — the ones the website genuinely needs to function or to remember your preferences. Because we set no tracking, analytics or advertising cookies, no consent banner is legally required; we still show a short notice so you know exactly what is used.

• Session (payload-token) — keeps club administrators signed in to the content system. Strictly necessary, and only set for logged-in staff.
• Theme (payload-theme, local storage) — remembers your light or dark display preference. Functional.
• Shopping basket (local storage) — remembers the items in your basket while you shop. Functional.
• Cookie notice (local storage) — remembers that you have dismissed the cookie notice, so it does not reappear. Functional.
• Language (NEXT_LOCALE) — remembers the language you are browsing in. Functional.
• Stripe — set only when you go through checkout, to process your payment securely and prevent fraud. Strictly necessary; provided by our payment processor Stripe.

You can delete or block cookies and local storage through your browser settings. Because the items we use are functional, blocking them may mean you cannot log in to the admin area, stay in your chosen language or complete a purchase, but general browsing of the site will still work.
