UVFC begin preparations for Easter match against Ludogorets NL Den Haag

After a short break following the end of the Belgian season, Union Vrede Football Club (UVFC) are back on the training pitch. The occasion is the upcoming friendly against Ludogorets NL Den Haag, taking place this Sunday to mark Easter. Kick-off is at 12:00 and admission is free for all football fans.

A meaningful previous meeting

This is not the first time the two sides have faced each other. UVFC and Ludogorets NL Den Haag already played a match in Belgium earlier this season to mark UVFC's official launch. By coincidence, that date fell on the Islamic holiday of Kurban Bayram, which made the occasion all the more special.

That match ended in a narrow 0–1 win for the Dutch side, who showed great respect for the fact that UVFC was still a newly founded team. Thanks to their sportsmanship and cooperation, it became an engaging and dynamic game, much to the delight of the crowd. The meeting once again underlined UVFC's mission: creating unity through sport and culture.

Preparation and squad

UVFC began preparing for the Easter match last weekend with a first training session since the end of the Belgian season. Not all players could attend – there were several absentees, especially in defence:

Bedri Bedri and Dobrin Dobrev – due to work commitments;

Gökcel Müseba – currently abroad;

Simeon Stoinov – recovering from health problems.

They are, however, expected at the final training session this Saturday at 15:00, so the team can line up at full strength for kick-off.

Reinforcements and fresh energy

In the run-up to the match, several experienced players are also being added to the squad, with the aim of raising the level and increasing competition within the team. In attack, Ibryam Ivanov, known from the UVFC futsal team, will be deployed to add extra threat up front with his pace and technique.

A football celebration for everyone

The match promises to be more than an ordinary friendly – it will be a celebration of football, togetherness and respect. The coaches of both teams have prepared a special surprise before kick-off, making the day even more festive.
