Union Vrede FC Futsal opens home campaign with ambition and discipline

Union Vrede FC Futsal faces an important moment in the season on Friday evening: the first home match of the year. At Sporthal Hekers (Zwijnaarde), our team hosts FC Kroket in a game that is about more than just three points. It is a match in which we want to show character, structure and growth.

Since the end of 2025, the club has had a new futsal manager: Denis Aliev. His arrival immediately set a clear direction: discipline, responsibility and a professional training mentality. Attending training is no longer optional, but a firm foundation for everyone who wears the Union Vrede FC shirt.

Absentees, but a strong mentality

For this match, Union Vrede FC will have to do without two important players: Gyurkan Ali and Violin Aleksandrov, two regulars who normally add an extra threat in attack.

There is also positive news, however. Durgut Ahmedov was battling the flu earlier this week, but has since recovered and is ready to give everything for the team. His commitment and mentality fit perfectly with the new standard the club wants to set this season.

Proving the good start was no fluke

The squad is determined to show that its strong start to this calendar year is no coincidence. The players want to keep that momentum going and confirm their positive performances under the new manager. The focus is on a collective performance: organised defending, high intensity and efficiency in transition.

Extra motivation on home turf

This first home match also has an extra-special touch. The club has arranged a special guest who will bring extra energy and positive emotions, both for the crowd and for the squad. Union Vrede FC wants to turn this evening into a real futsal experience: sport, passion and togetherness.
